Welcome to The Leather Bottle

We are a Restaurant & Free House Pub based in the historic, picturesque village of Blackmore, Essex.

We serve delicious, traditional, British food with a modern twist and cater for all dietary requirements. Our food is locally sourced and served daily from 12pm so whether it's lunch or dinner, there’s always something to tickle your taste buds. Tables within our light and airy restaurant are available to pre-book for dining.

We are very well known for our friendly and helpful management, front of house and kitchen teams, who are guaranteed to give a warm welcome and top quality service. Our five-star reviews on Facebook and Trip Advisor are testament to this, that’s not our only five star rating, we also hold a five star hygiene certificate. In fact Trip Advisor awarded us the Travellers Choice top ten percent of Restaurants award for the second year running this year.

With ample street parking around The Green and so many versatile options for dining, The Leather Bottle is the perfect venue for any occasion.

Delicious, traditional, British food

The Pub itself offers a comfortable bar area with an award-winning selection of real ales, ciders and lagers, fine wines from around the world and we are always improving the selection, focussing on our customers desires.

As a family friendly restaurant, we also welcome our four-legged friends into the bar area and garden.

Our walled garden has plenty of tables available on a first come, first serve basis for food and drink. We also boast a beautiful Garden Room which is available for private hire. The latest addition to our attractive garden area is a heated marquee housing undercover tables. These tables are also available to pre-book for dining.

Gift Vouchers are available to buy, which can be used against both food and drink and valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. We will shortly be introducing a rewards scheme for our regular customers and our Gift Vouchers will also be migrating to a credit card type. Please pop in and see a member of staff to purchase.

WE'RE HIRING

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to be part of our very talented Chef team.

We are looking for an experienced Commis Chef and Chef de Partie to join our friendly village restaurant. You will be working under our Head Chef & Sous Chef and will be trained how to run sections within our busy restaurant.

We expect the right candidate to have passion and willingness to learn new skills, working with our fresh produce.

Driving license preferred due to location. Benefits include a competitive salary, tips paid weekly and 28 days holiday a year.

A minimum of one years experience is preferred.
